Multi-Project Mode

Multiproject mode provides two different ways of analyzing multiple AoIs, 1. User defined weight analysis model and 2. SMAA MCDA simulation.

User specified weight analysis

In the user specified weight analysis (USWA), the user needs to provide their preference or weight for each conservation goal and each measure. The weights are then taken into account along with the data measure values for the AoIs to produce a rank acceptability based on inner product of scores. The user will be directed to choose weights of five restore goals (Table X) followed by weights of individual data measures (Table X). The CPT tool under USWA also has an option to select default weights where the analysis will be based on default weights suggested by the SCA project team. This mode enables users to apply a simple scoring model based on inner products to determine the maximum strategic benefit from the AoIs under analysis. This model also provides users an option that more closely reflects the desire by users to emphasize certain criteria over others. Individual measures are relatively scaled with respect to other projects (Figure X showing data scaling).

SMAA MCDA simulation

In the MCDA simulation, user weights for not needed, instead the model randomly assigns 100,000 random weights to evaluate the scores as described in USWA. The model then ranks individual AoI based on number of times each of them ranked as 1, 2, .. n.
